The Centre's proposed research activities are designed to promote linkages and knowledge transfer.
Such groups include the wider research community, the end-user communities of creative practitioners who perform and express historical works today, and the modern audiences who attend, view and listen to them.
Our education officers work with programs in institutions such as museums and galleries (as well as with our defined partner organisations), and reach out to the wider public through school programs and by disseminating research associated with the major performance events (program notes, floor talks, audio-guides, and public debate generally).
Masterclasses with international and Australian experts in theatre direction and reflective performance will provide a development legacy for students and practitioners.
The Centre has appointed education officers in Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia. Education officers are soon to be appointed in Queensland and New South Wales.
Their brief is to develop outreach links between the Centre and school students and teachers throughout Australia.
